Scripture - Colossians 2:16-23
Paul warns against the powerless gospel of self‑made religion. In Colossians 2:16–23, he exposes legalism, false spirituality, and man‑made rules that look holy but can’t change the heart. We’re reminded not to let others judge us by outward practices, not to be deceived by false humility or spiritual showmanship, and not to trust in “do not handle, taste, touch” religion. Real growth comes only from staying connected to Christ. Self‑made religion appears wise, but it cannot restrain the flesh. Only Jesus transforms. Only grace changes the heart.
