Colossians 2:11–15 paints one of the clearest pictures of what Jesus has already accomplished for every believer. Paul shows that in Christ, you have undergone a spiritual circumcision—a cutting away of the old sinful nature that no human effort could achieve. Through union with Jesus, you were buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through faith, sharing in the same resurrection power that brought Him out of the grave. God made you alive when you were spiritually dead, forgiving every trespass and canceling the entire record of debt that once stood against you. Christ didn’t just forgive you—He nailed every accusation to the cross, stripping demonic rulers and authorities of their power and putting them to open shame through His victory.
