1 Peter 4:1-5
As followers of Christ, we are called to live with a new resolve—no longer bound by the old ways of sin but strengthened by the mind of Christ. Peter reminds us that suffering for righteousness is not defeat, but a sign that we are truly aligned with the will of God.
This message, “Armed and Determined,” invites us to take up the spiritual armor of Christ’s attitude and walk with holy determination:
• Armed with Christ’s mindset: We embrace His willingness to suffer for the sake of obedience.
• Determined to leave the past behind: We turn away from former desires and live as new creations.
• Committed to God’s will: Our lives are no longer shaped by human approval, but by divine purpose.
• Confident in God’s judgment: Even when misunderstood or opposed, we rest in the assurance that God sees and vindicates His people.
This sermon will encourage believers to stand firm in faith, to resist the pull of the world, and to live with courage and conviction. It is a call to be spiritually prepared and unwavering, trusting that Christ Himself strengthens us for the journey ahead.
