The mere fact that I am alive and breathing stands as a testament. This year, I faced a health scare that gave me a reality check. I have been suffering from iron deficiency anemia since around 2009. Although my body absorbs iron well, specialists could not determine why my levels continued to plummet, often to 6 and below.
